Taxi from Palma Airport to Palma city center
- Distance
- 8 km
- Duration
- 15 min
- Solo fare
- 25 €–35 €
Palma de Mallorca Airport sits just 8 km east of the old town, so the ride into the city center is short — but a solo taxi still costs around 25-35 EUR once you add luggage and night surcharges. Sharing that ride with another traveler arriving in the same window cuts the fare roughly in half.
How to get from Palma Airport to Palma city center
A metered taxi from the official rank outside Arrivals is the fastest option (about 15 minutes off-peak). The A1 airport bus runs to Plaza de Espana for a few euros but stops frequently and is awkward with big luggage. Pre-booked transfers exist but rarely beat a shared taxi on price.
What you pay when you share
Split between two travelers, the same ride comes to roughly 13 €–18 € each. With three passengers it drops further — the fare is per car, not per person.
Good to know
The taxi rank is directly outside Terminal A Arrivals — ignore anyone offering rides inside the terminal. Traffic on the Via de Cintura is heaviest between 8-10am and 6-8pm in summer. Agree on the meter, not a flat price, and check whether your hotel is inside the pedestrian old town, where drivers may drop you a short walk away.
